Holy crap. Where was that the other 59 minutes?

One could debate how much was by choice but they stockpiled a lot of draft picksThey've built a solid team in Utah.
That's the thing they were saying, but if you skate into a guy and knock him down in the neutral zone it's still going to be called as a penalty if it directly impacts the play. Incidental contact that doesn't affect players doesn't get called. I get why the team didn't challenge because the Utah PP is hot and 3-1 would have been tough to come back from but its the officials watching a goalie blatantly not be able to make a save and calling it a good goal that is frustrating.I get that they won't call contact with the goalie outside of the crease, but that was a trip, not contact.
Tripping the goalie is a penalty right? Like if he's playing the puck behind the net and a player takes his feet out, they call it.
Def shot fired at 88. Bailing a little early or too much for Hiller. The issue remains that hinge point of transitioning from defense to offense. If that first breakout is rickety, as it currently is much of the time, the forwards have an uphill climb establishing sustained OZ time.
Nylander and Marchenko paper it over somewhat, but with Willy seemingly hindered and Kirill out with a knee sprain, the non-Matthews lines are struggling to put and keep the puck in the right zone.
That’s a good shot to fire
Definitely not a recent developmentDef shot fired at 88. Bailing a little early or too much for Hiller.
Wingers are either too high or too low. It's ok if they drop low in their own zone if they're first F back, but the C has to recognize this and assume the wing position. Too often you're seeing the winger below our own goal line and the C right along side him. When our weak D rim the puck (as they don't make a lot of heads up plays), there is rarely someone on the wall to receive. Easy keep in for the D.
