3 Phoenix Coyotes vs 6 Chicago Blackhawks

Most boring 2nd round matchups ever in the West.

Phoenix and Nashville will probably be acceptable, but LA vs. St. Louis?  Will 10 goals total be scored in the series?

Phoenix and Nashville is boring to me too, have no interest in how either series plays out really.  Will have to see if watching the games changes that.

It really is a dreadful 2nd round in the West.

Even in the East it could be pretty dull depending on who wins out the rest of the way.

A Philly-LA series would be pretty cool though because of the Richards/Carter factor and the size of the markets.

That's exactly what I'm hoping for, with Richards and Carter lifting the Cup in Philly. I can't even imagine how awesomely funny that would be.

Hooray for goons knocking out star players!  Kudos to Phoenix for playing boring hockey and having 3 people in attendance to watch it happen.

In Game #7, the Hawks took too many penalties, and were uncharacteristically undisciplined.  Of course,  on the other hand, Chicago had plenty of scoring chances -- all foiled by Mike Smith.  A superb goaltending performance!

There is still no schedule with dates released for this or any series.  How does that make sense?  People need to plan their time and maybe arrange their schedule to support the team.  And with plenty of Northern season tic holders maybe some would plan a trip down if they actually knew when to plan for??

They won't release anything until they know all the pairings for the next round. TV rights and broadcast schedules heavily influence these things.

John Shannon tweeted yesterday that game 1 will be Fri night.  So NHL will officially announce this on Fri??  That just doesn't make any sense.  Even if game one is Sat it only gives people 24 hours to make or change plans??  And season tic holder who can't make games can't sell them until schedule is released.  The NHL has some stupid policies.  No need to wonder why they are having trouble selling tickets??

Considering they have the West pairings all done, why can't they set dates for those games, doesn't make sense at all.

Ugh!  Ugly, ugly bruise on 'Hawks Sami Lepisto's leg, courtesy of having stopped/blocked a slapshot, for the losing cause in this series...
