3 Phoenix Coyotes vs 6 Chicago Blackhawks

The diffenence being that it has been shown that when Torres made contact with Hossa his feet were on the ice.  He left the ice on impact.  I see little difference in the Torres hit vs the Neil hit tonight except for the fraction of a second less it took Neil.  In fact I would also argue that Boyle was in a more vulnerable position as he had just shot the puck.

Personally, I don't think any of the other incidents compare to what Torres did.

Neither do I. Nor do the other perpetrators have the same track record as Torres - I mean, seriously, he was disciplined twice this season for hits to the head.

I bet Matt Cooke is sitting back today being thankful that this wasn't him. He was arguably one dirty hit away from something like this.

He got a pretty hefty suspension lady season, 10 games and the 1st round of the playoffs.

He has cleaned his game up significantly since then.

Glad that he got a harsh suspension, but if Hossa is out for an extended period, this is still a case of a guy who is a multiple-repeat offender bottom pairing hack being traded off for one of Chicago's best.  Phoenix wins that one by a mile, not to mention that Chicago got burned for the retaliation against Torres because the refs were too busy not watching the play.

If Phoenix wins tonight, it will be the first playoff round victory for the Jets/Coyotes franchise since the first round of the 1987 playoffs.

Most boring 2nd round matchups ever in the West.

Phoenix and Nashville will probably be acceptable, but LA vs. St. Louis?  Will 10 goals total be scored in the series?
