Bruins @ Leafs - Nov. 26th, 7:00pm - TSN4, Fan 590

Leafs will only dream of playoff success until they prove they can handle that line (even without Bergeron).  They are inside the Leafs' heads and own them.
They just need to mark Pastrnak. He's basically the only guy you really have to worry about. Keep your best player on him at all times in the O zone. The Bruins don't have secondary anything.

That?s an embarrassing penalty kill.  Fully out of position with no semblance of cohesion.  Leafs kill it off though.

And then score!

I don?t think the Leafs were bad, per se. The Bruins have very good puck movement.

If you stay in position then sticks get into lanes.  The leafs were chasing.

That?s why Boston is so good on their power play. They?re always shifting lanes and rotating positions. Eventually it flows into a low slot pass from the left circle to the right post or a high slot centring pass, depending where Pastrnak feels like the defense is letting him float.

Marleau gets a cheesy apple for his 1600th game.

Like Leivo should play like Pastrnak on the PP. Circle to post.

What are your thoughts on basically making it a 4 on 3 and just glue someone on 88?

Pastrnak is almost at Nylander's career high in goals and they haven't even played 30 games.
And he apparently wants a raise from what Pastrnak gets. I heard someone asked him what he thought about his contract and taking a haircut. He said he loves his contract because he could be playing for $100 a game in the Czech.

Same thing on Ovi or Laine or Stamkos: good scorers know how to get open. Do your best to cut off the pass because there?s no way to track them 100%. The Leafs PK system is to try and overload the carrier and primary passing lane. Sometimes the puck gets through anyway, which is why it looks bad. Sometimes the stops made don?t get properly cleared (a la 3 Dermott attempts) and everyone gets tired and goals happen and we look bad. Gotta try to stop everything as upstream as possible.

Yes, because he is going to gripe about his contract to the media.  We really need to stop with creating narratives around Nylander.

I believe Pastrnak was sincere. A reporter mentioned he came from very little, had to pay for hockey tape which is the reason to this day he doesn't even use that much tape on his stick. He's thankful he's able to be a millionaire playing a sport

I?m fine with Nylander asking for as much as possible.  Humans, in all professions, want as much money as they can get.  These 20 plus games missed will mean nothing long term.  Id be shocked if a contract isn?t signed before the deadline.

They play different roles. The last time Pastrnak and Nylander played together in Swedish junior, Willy outscored Pastrnak (11-8) in fewer than half the games played (17 vs 36).

Bruins are down to 5 defensemen, I have an idea can we just give them Hainsey for this game?

Gardiner stripping DeBrusk super cleanly will go unnoticed by most because Gardiner is bad at defense.
