Bruins @ Maple Leafs - Feb. 1st, 7:30pm - SN, TSN 1050

Sam sonic with a terrible game but also great job refs giving a cool down on the Leafs after scoring by letting Boston start a scrum after the goal and keeping it 50/50

Said it before say it again he's not going to take you to a final.

Bruins just looking better tonight.

I guess you have to say that but letting guys like Greer and Zacha beat you from distance is on one guy only.

Frig off Samsonov

Brilliant in the first, shit afterwards.,
Not his night. 3 goals clean past his glove...I think the 2nd was too.

None of them particularly great shots either.  I think there is an argument they he should have stopped all four Boston goals

I disagree in a big way.  Leafs have had the better chances.  Samsonov didn't show up after the first intermission

I don't think Boston has outplayed the Leafs,  The difference in this is totally goaltending.

This. I'm surprised at all the Samsonov bashing. He's been incredible value, and if the expectation is that he was going to be prime Hasek every game, then I think that disappointment was inevitable.

Yup but the 5th one isn't on him.

Absolute incompetence there how the hell Liljegren leaves Zacha and Nylander nowhere to be found

Here are a couple of things I think need to happen:

Trade Rielly.  Paid too much for what he brings.

Put Tavares on the wing.  In a high-pace series he can't keep up.

There's no bashing. Nobody is saying he sucks and should be fired into the sun. He's now having a bad game after a great 1st period

At least now we can play Simmonds four more shifts to end the game and do nothing.

Leafs are now going to be 6-5-2 in games that Simmonds dresses.

I have seen too many big games where the Leafs goalie is the one who just withers and dies. It's not acceptable, period. He deserves every bit of criticism he's getting tonight.
