5 guys 5 feet from Andersen and not one guy takes anyone out. Team in front of the net have to be the softest in the league. J Christ knock someone down or off the puck.
Agree with that one.

Team has been like that forever. Think that?s what this team has missed and still is some nastiness. Also Andersen looks like he?s not on tonight.
BOGO is good at it and usually Muzz is too. Don't know why they played it that way.
Freddie looks a little shaky but the D coverage so far isn't good. Let's hope they get it together here.

I don?t think they are aggressive enough in front. Everyone says you can?t do that anymore I disagree. See all kinds of crosschecks etc by other teams. We are not physical enough in front of Andersen. And it?s not just the defence.

Kerfoot nailed from behind into the boards right in front of the referee with no call

I've never played hockey (I'm an Aussie) but I've played enough field hockey, football, rugby league etc. etc. to understand that no matter your size you have to have a physical presence. That doesn't mean dropping your gloves, it just means positioning yourself to make it harder for the opposition to do what they want to do. This can involve positioning or regular but subtle contact. It doesn't have to be a cross-check.

I see players avoid this regularly. Barrie was terrible at it. I don't understand it as to me defence is where your success starts as a team. That involves everyone.

Kerfoot is probably wondering wtf. Called him for that ticky tack penalty against the Oilers and no call there.

I continue to not understand what a boarding penalty is I guess.

Leafs are winning and had two powerplays already so therefore boarding comes out of the rule book.

Agree with you 100%.

The fact that Kerfoot is reaching to glove down a puck makes this so much worse too. There's literally zero argument that Kerfoot could have protected himself here. If he doesn't get up from that hit right away it's a multiple game suspension easily.
