But the refs let the play go ... didn't they?  Or am I ausgespielt?

Just watched it again, you're right. The Leafs got a scoring opportunity off the rush and the whistle was blown only when the Caps got possession.

Which is how it always happens.  ACC fans smrt.

Nothing wrong with the fans' reaction; the Leafs had a scoring chance whistled down because Grabs was laying on the ice.

Shoalts; however, is a moron.

No they didn't.  Play continued and the Leafs got their chance.  It actually helped result in an odd-man rush.

Like I just said, the whistle was blown after the Leafs got their scoring chance.

Washington had the puck and it didn't get blown down until after the Leafs scoring chance.

Well then I guess we know who's the moron now then don't we...  :-X

It just seemed to me they were more booing the guy on the ice, not necessarily Grabs or his injury. I am probably giving too much credit where it isn't due though.

Well either way, I don't think it's good practice to boo injured players.

I was in Boston for G6 of the SCF against Vancouver, in the lower bowl like ten rows back from where Raymond got hit. Looked like a dive.

HD cameras with replay let you see more detail sometimes than being there. Fans aren?t jerks for booing.

A good point, I highly doubt 99% of the people boo'ing actually saw Grabbo get a skate in the face. It's just kinda instinct to boo at that time. A stupid instinct that I would never participate in if I was at a game, but an instinct nonetheless.

Eeesh, Grabovski took a skate to the face there.  And pathetic from the crowd booing.

Yeah, boo the guy who took a skate to the face after saying he loves the Toronto fans, loved playing for Toronto and called Toronto his hometown as recently as yesterday.

Yeah, why would anyone boo an injured player?  Did they think he was faking it to stop the rush?

It is the city that elected Rob Ford.

It is the province with Wynne as premier.....so go figure?

oh snap

Harber jab for the trifecta?

Washington to the PP again.

Leafs T-5th in the league for most shot-handed events.
Leafs T-7th in the league for fewest PP opportunities.

Yeah they're 28th in the league in penalty differential.

And maybe it's not surprising given that they spend so much time in their own zone, but it just seems completely unconscionable for a team with the speed/skill of this team to draw so few penalties.  Something is wrong there.

I know he's doing a good job against Ovechkin and everything but there is absolutely 0 reason for Jay McClement to be leading all forwards in ice-time.

Hmmm....I think you missed the point.

Last season they were 10th in powerplay opportunities. Kadri was a big part of that, being a +30 in penalty differential (10 taken, 40 drawn in 48 games). This season he's a -1 (11 taken, 10 drawn in 19 games).
