Dylan Strome traded to Chicago

Teams don't give up on kids that young unless the return is great. For the Yotes to trade both Strome and Perlini tells me they see nothing in these guys. They may be proven wrong but suffice to say Strome has been a bust so far.

I give John Chayka-laka 1 more year before he's canned.

I'm not even sure it'll take that long.  They've shown no improvement over the years, they're in 29th place, and they've lost 4 of 5 lately.  I posted something along the lines of this a couple of weeks ago, and I think Arizona has been irrelevant for years.

Add the Domi trade for whatshisname, that seems to be working out quite nicely for the habs, and I think you could probably make a pretty good case to make some changes in Arizona.

About the only thing I will give Chyka credit for is that he regularly wins trades with Chicago, no idea if this will continue the pattern??

Signed Dvorak and Chychrun to too much too soon deals in recent history as well.

Arizona isn't exactly a hockey hotbed so I'm not sure how much pressure there is to replace the guy.  When I said one year I meant one more hockey year, so this season and next and then he'll be out if there's no improvement.

They have a financial problem so the chances of them paying either a GM or Coach to go away again aren't great. But yet again down here there are rumors picking up steam that the Coyotes are about to get a new owner who is actually rich. Talks of an East side arena as part if new deal??? I'll believe it when I see it.

Yup, and if their history tells us anything, they don't exactly go through GMs at a fast pace.  I mean before Chayka, Don Maloney was there for what 8-9 years despite them not doing anything?

Hey easy we had the run of 12!!!!!  When you have to take on Cap hits to ensure the floor you just have to know the Owner won't be excited to pay millions for a GM to go away.
