Eastern Conference final: (1) New York Rangers vs (6) New Jersey Devils

The Devils were the better team up to that point, I won't count them out but that's tough.

Nice deflection by Kreider.

yay! Rangers won. Don't like the Rangers. But I like the Devils even less.

I wish there was still a team I gave a rat's patoot about in the playoffs :(

Same here.  I've never liked the Devils (always a thorn in the Leafs side from the past), so it's cheers to the Rangers (even though I'm no real fan of theirs either), -- it's Islanders for me, -- but at least I'll tolerate myself to yearn for a Rangers victory!  :)

War of words, as usual....

I wonder if the Devils are going to regret not scoring on that two man advantage midway through the third up 3-0, because the Rangers just scored.

No worries for New Jersey.  Won it 4-1.  Series now tied at two, and back to MSG for Game #5 Wednesday.

The Devils /Rangers/Tortorella/DeBoer feud keeps growing, culminating in Rangers Mike Rupp punching Broduer...

Like the fact that it could be the most boring final since before the lockout? :)

Depends on your point of view, of course, but I am not all that enamoured with defensive hockey.

To be fair, lt's not like Jersey or Glendale are offensive dynamos. The Rangers are the highest scoring team remaining.

Missed this one earlier.

The Rangers are the highest scoring regular season team remaining. However, of the four teams left in the playoffs, they are averaging the fewest goals per game (up to the end of game 4 of this series) at 2.11. Phoenix is next at 2.18, Jersey at 2.67 and LA at 2.93.

I don't see the Rangers winning the next two. Dammit, this is probably the end of me in the pool and moreover, I just don't like the Devils.

I would have assumed that your greater disappointment would be that, if the Rangers are knocked out, it all but assures that they'll pull out all the stops to acquire your favourite power forward on the market in Columbus.

I hope they do. I'd love to see the Rangers screw up their cap situation and sacrifice a good chunk of their depth to not really make themselves better.

I hadn't considered that. With that said though, I'm rather far from "Nash or bust." There's a whack of avenues I think worth exploring... Nash being just one of them.

It pisses me off to no end that the Rangers were able to dump off Gomez' outrageous cap hit.  Though, I have to admit, it also pleases me to no end that Montreal got stuck with it.
