German invasion of Warsaw ends in tears.

Yeah, to use some soccer terminology, the flag is up on that attempt.
It could have been worse, I was going to go with the line the commentator used in the second half "it's time for the Germans to step on the gas here" short memories.

Classy.

Espa?a, here we come!

FORZA ITALIA!  VIVA GLI AZZURRI!

It's going to be quite a celebration in T.O., if Italy wins on Sunday.

Italy fans = insufferable.

Thanks for the support ;)

Italy fans are passionate, it's in our makeup, we talk with our hands for Gods sake.

It's all good!

I'm just butt-hurt both my teams are out.  ;D

::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Well you obviously jumped on the wrong bandwagon didn't you ;)

I've got to agree though, some Italian fans are ridiculous. My supervisor took this MONTH off (working 2 days a week. NOT when Italy plays), simply because of the Euro...a bit much no? Especially since you were born in Canada? No? Maybe? A little?...

Spain 4  Italy 0

Congratulations to Espa?a!  Simply the best (yes, even with their "tiki taka" passing).

Spain cruises into soccer history...

Spain made history on Sunday by becoming the first nation to repeat as European champions. The Spanish are also the first side to win three consecutive major tournaments: Euro 2008, 2010 World Cup, and Euro 2012. Italy's quest for a second European title (the Azzurri won on home soil in 1968) continues for at least for another four years.

As for gli Azzurri, Italians the world over are proud of their accomplishments.  Not many a soccer pundit chose Italy to come this far in the Euro Final, having disposed of England and the mighty Germans.  (Italy made believers out of many after winning against the above-mentioned two).

But against the Spaniards proved something different.  As much as they tried, gli Azzurri couldn't quite put a hold on Spain's crafty passing.  Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

All in all, I'll still say....Viva gli Azzurri... and of course, Viva La Roja!

:) :) :)

The mother land's economy might be in shambles but at least we are the best team in the world, bar none. That was as thorough a beatdown as you can have in a final. Italy did respond well after the 1st goal but Alba's goal just killed them.

My best buddy is Italian so obviously we couldn't watch this game together. However, the beating was so bad that I haven't, and won't, even bust his chops for a few days.
