i'm thinking that italy/england is going to be the best game out of this round...but hopefully this one is right up there

Haha, I think it's gonna be a snorefest. I really don't think either England or France are that great this year. Italy will grind it out, De Rossi/Pirlo are gonna try and keep possession, As long as Barzagli/Chiellini/Bonucci manage to hold the line, I see a 1-0 win for Italy.

They'll get pounded by Germany though. I really hate how good the Germans look the last few tourneys...

I think Chiellini is missing the game last I heard unless they updated his status.

In any event I'm never confident going into an Italy game. Depends on which Italy decides to show up. Best I ever saw them play was the WC semi against Germany when I hit the ceiling after the Grosso goal.

I'm going to miss it - but I'm with you on your PK predictions but it's a coin toss who wins IMO.

Both teams manage to blunder themselves out of tournaments.  I think it will be an entertaining mistake filled game with a controversial winner. no pk's

Definitely the fair result; by far the better team came out on top in the end.

Like I said though, it would take nothing short of a miracle for Italy to beat Germany in the semis.

England should count themselves lucky to have even reached the quarters and it's amazing to think that all that was standing between them and the semis was a penalty shootout.

Italy is the heavy underdog but you never know. Look at England, as you said they were lucky to have made this far and yet still almost went to the semis on PK.

Buffon was superb today, while Pirlo and Diamanti led in the offensive category. 

It certainly would have been nice for the English fans for England to have emerged the winner and go further in this year's Euro, this the year of Her Majesty's Jubilee.  Too bad.

I don't expect Italy to defeat Germany in the Semis, but then one never knows what could happen -- another scoreless game to be won on PKs?  Who knows.  All I can say is... FORZA ITALIa!!
