Flames @ Leafs - Mar. 19th, 7:00pm - SNO, Fan 590

Andersen is obviously hurt and admitted he's playing through injury. Why they keep going to him I have no idea. Leafs win with Campbell in tonight

I agree.  It?s no coincidence his numbers have fallen off a cliff since he came back

That 10 games in a row was what did him in... Campbell needs to stay healthy and we'll be ok.

Leafs PP doesn't have nearly the same amount of movement as it did when they were busting along at the start of the season.  They have a static set up and pass it too much on the perimeter.  I don't know why they let themselves get away from that.

The PK also has been less effective with shot blocking and stick disruption.

Matthews  and Andersen are hurt.

Tavares' goal scoring seems to have gone off a cliff.  He hasn't been the Leafs best player in a single game this year.

They clearly don?t trust Hutchinson (with good cause - he?s definitely been more bad than good as a Leaf) and Campbell wasn?t healthy. Andersen was basically the only real option most nights of late.

Tavares was pretty good in that Montreal game where he got rammed by Weber.

And that's the big issue. Can't have Freddie playing hurt and we know he has been for quite some time. Let's hope Campbell is finally over his ailment so Freddie can get healthy.

agreed... if Campbell goes down again they are in for a tough stretch...

If Campbell can't play well, I think Dubas is forced to get a goalie before/at the deadline, never mind the additional top-6 guy.

The Leafs have allowed 4 or more goals in 5 of their last 6...and the 6th game of that stretch they allowed 3 in the OT win against Winnipeg.

They're not going to get far this year, again, if they can't clean that up on a consistent basis.

Well this game should really be called Goalie instead of hockey, so I agree that without a decent one playing outstanding or an outstanding one playing decent you won't win more games then you lose.

I fell asleep during the second intermission. Was a bit scared when i woke up that I?d missed the stirring third period demolition comeback.

I was, unfortunately, wrong to be scared.

Freddie can play better than he has been... and I hope he heals ... or gets his mojo back... whatever it takes... but is a healthy Freddie a championship goalie?  Campbell may get an extended look but if the Cup is this year's goal then  it's a legitimate concern.. only Dubas knows his options and it's probably a bit more difficult this year...

I don't see any real options during the season and the Cup is always the goal unless you're tanking. The biggest issue is getting Campbell healthy and playing well so Freddie can also get healthy. I hope Campbell can go on a run here.
