Flames @ Maple Leafs - Nov. 10th, 7:00pm - TSN4, TSN 1050

What a soft flipping call.  Any physical team gets to start scrums after every whistle.  McCabe shoves a guy and it's a penalty

Positives after one:
  • They've gone back to Kampf+Marner to start kills (and Auston taken off altogether) and the PK looks more solid now
  • Reaves is ?1 but that's expected. All other lines have a clean sheet. Even the D-pair (Rielly+Brodie) that got dinged for Reaves goal-against are back to +0 because they were there for Jarny's goal.

I guess I like McCabe protecting the goalie.

That sh*t happens all the time and no calls.

That aside, he's sure better than watching Klingberg lope around back there.  I am going to give Klingberg the benefit of the doubt; it sounds like he's been playing hurt.  Get it fixed and then come back and play better 3.

Reaves had nothing to do with that goal, though.  Let's be fair.  Woll booted up a weirdo shot that looked like me back in Little League with my patented Bunt?.

I thought the same at first, but then I noticed that if we rewind just a few seconds earlier: When Kadri passed the puck to Zary (leading to the weirdo shot), Reaves whiffed on what I assume should have been a routine pass interception, leading directly to the goal.

Also, does Reaves not understand that we liked his first two games? Just throw two big hits at the start of the 1st period, draw a fight, win the fight (and then, completely unrelated: Auston scores a hat trick).  It doesn't make sense that suddenly after two games he's never done anything like this ever again. How hard is it to throw two hits?

Ok, good catch.  I missed that.

Too bad, I want to like the guy and all that, but yikes.  He hasn't done a thing since throwing a hit in G1.

Edit:  haha and G2 I guess
