It's too bad Matthias got hurt, he was playing pretty well prior to that too. I don't know if this will be enough of a sample size to get teams too interested.

I feel like teams that would be interested in Matthias are more concerned with his health right now than anything else. As a 3rd/4th lien checking guy, he's mostly a known quantity.

I meant his injury a couple of weeks ago or whatever it was (to my original point it's not like he missed a ton of games either).

And by "concerned with his health," I meant teams that are looking at him now aren't particularly concerned about him putting the puck in the net, but rather that he's back to being healthy enough to stay in the lineup playing the kind of game they want on their 3rd/4th line.

It's been talked about before, but Johnson's doing a great job breaking down these goals against. Identifies Polak and Spaling as the main culprits when others would have dumped on Gardiner and Corrado.

It really does seem like Johnson just went to a different broadcasting school than anyone else at CBC, one where they focused on breaking down the game and addressing its finer points instead of making easy observations as loudly and obnoxiously as possible.

Oh. Well in that case I'm pretty confident they'll get a fair return on him. I figured if he'd had a season closer to what he did last year he'd probably go for a 3rd, if he really bombed out he'd go for a 5th. I bet he splits the difference.

That school was TSN, who generally don't have those types of personalities in-game (Johnson and Ferraro are definitely 1-2 in that category).

Oh Huberdeau just left Florida's game, come on guys trade for Matthias, Boyes, and Parenteau. Package deal!

I've heard many people refer to Bozak as being Huberdeau-esque.

That's what I figure, too. Coming into the season, the likely return for him was a 3rd or a 4th. With the season he's had, I don't think he's done anything to change that.

All right, I'll just say it: Rielly has been playing like crap for quite awhile now.

Yeah, but so has everyone else on the roster. I don't think he's stood out as being significantly worse than everyone else. We just hope for more from him.

I think Babcock was right to put him on a leash in the early season to get him to concentrate on his defense.  That's where the concern is.
