Game 10: Leafs @ Capitals 7:00PM LEAFS TV

So are the Leafs going to start 4-1 on the road while going 1-4 at home?  I think so.

Decent road team, worst home team in hockey, that is what we have folks.

And, sadly a .500 team right to the end I predict. I wonder where that puts us in the draft order?

Caps are 7-2-1 in last 10 games vs Toronto.

I remember they said during last nights telecast that Carolina has won 14 of the last 20 vs Toronto.  I guess thats 15 of the last 21 now.

We all know Boston owns us.

I mean, I know that when you constantly finish in the bottom 10 what do you expect but it's really hisheartening hearing this over and over.  I'm tired of losing  :-\  :'(

Somewhere in the 6-8 range if they stay in the equivalent of a 80-84 point range.

And some playoff team will probably win the lottery. :(

That would be quite the feat, since playoff teams aren't in the lottery unless they've traded for the 1st round pick of a non-playoff team.

They're in the lottery now. New CBA.

No, they're not. The new lottery allows all non-playoff teams a shot at the 1st overall pick. Playoff teams are still excluded.

No they aren't.

But instead of only the bottom 5 having a chance to win the lottery, now every team that MISSES the playoffs have a chance.  So 14 teams.

No. Busta is right. The new lottery system is identical to the NBA's where it's only the non-playoff teams in the lottery. The change is that all of the non-playoff teams have a chance at the #1 pick where it used to be that only 1-4 did.

Ah, that's what it is. So that's actually good. The Leafs could finish 9th and still draft 1st. Although what will the odds of that be? 0.5%?

I don't know the odds off the top of my head, but it is going to be very minimal yeah.  You probably aren't far off.
