I know it was a loss, but I see some silver linings here. Grabbo got the monkey off his back, the leafs didn't look anywhere near as tired in a back-to-back game as they did last year, and we get to see how Scrivens bounces back from this.
I know Scrivens would have liked those last two goals back, but the first two I chalk up to bad defensive zone turnovers. I'm more upset about the dumb penalty he took - he seemed frustrated, and that's about the point where things went south. The rest of the team took some dumb penalties, too, and the officiating wasn't wonderful either.
Anyway, what counts is how the team shows up on Thursday. I hope to see some life in Grabbo and his line, now, and that Scrivens takes this opportunity to show everyone what he's really made of.
