I read somewhere that Frattin is still a ways off from returning, and the Leafs could really use his goal scoring ability soon. Lupul I've heard is pretty close.

From what I've read, they both could be back in the next week or so. The Leafs would just need to open up a couple roster spots, as they're currently carrying the maximum 23.

I saw an article with Frattin this week that said he could be 2 weeks away.

Apparently Leafs didn't get into their hotel until 3am.  Tonight's game could be ugly.

markhmasters: NYI lines v Leafs tonight: Moulson-Tavares-Boyes; Bailey-Nielsen-Okposo; Grabner-Cizikas-McDonald; Martin-Reasoner-Boulton

markhmasters: NYI d pairings v Leafs: Hamonic-MacDonald; Hickey-Visnovsky; Streit-Finley ... Nabokov starts

Hope Reimer can play with the brace.

Worst comes to worst he can quickly rip it off and whack Tavares over the head with it.

This would be a perfect time for Reimer to come in and play a nice, solid game that quickly restores the faith that he built up in everyone pre-injury.

I'm not sure I expect it, but it sure would be swell.

Updated the first post with this info. Also added some stuff from TSN's Ice Chips.

No Frattin tonight. Starter still isn't confirmed. Not sure why Carlyle is being so secretive about the starter in this case. He wouldn't have had Reimer suit up as back-up if he wasn't game ready, and they aren't going to put Scrivens out for a back-to-back with James healthy.

So surprise there. Leafs need to make a roster move to activate him, and only players who are exempt from waivers are Kadri and Holzer.

I hope Nonis is working the phones to clear this logjam. ::)

I fell asleep twice watching the game last night. Too bad I wasn't there at the ACC - they could of put me on the big screen and Carlyle would slapped his three stooges (Kessel, Bozak, & van Riemsdyk) saying "Look - you're putting him asleep!"

I hope Carlyle swaps out some players tonight. I think he needs to sit a big name player to get a message across.
Problem is who draws in other than Steckel up front? Id sit Kostka myself...

Connolly.  I don't care how out of shape he was in training camp -- there is no way Orr is the superior player.

(Wasn't there a 2-on-1 last night with Kadri early on where he just failed to get the puck across?)
