Game 25: Bruins @ Leafs 7:00PM TSN

Is it wrong that I constantly wish for Phaneuf to line up Seguin with a beautiful, clean hit cutting across the middle? Nothing against the kid ... I'd just love to see it.

I don't know if it's wrong, but it's kind of strange. Why Seguin?

I don't know I just lost my good feeling about tonight. Thought the Leafs would play with way more emotion. Not happy so far.

Are you joking? They're playing really well. If it weren't for a non-call that lead to a goal they'd be even.

So they'll have a clip to play besides him scoring on us?

What a pass by Gardiner on that one play. If it's a left-handed shot that it goes to it's probably in the net.  As it was, tough play for Bozak on his backhand.

blah ..can't help but think crappy officiating hurt us there...i hope the leafs speed game has taken a toll on boston..here's hoping we get another powerplay at some point

Yeah, I don't think there's a lack of emotion or effort out there.

Good kill.  We're very much in it going into the 3rd, I'll take it.

Flip side is Boston is doing a great job of containing the Leafs speed in the neutral zone and that isn't going to get easier in the 3rd period when Boston is on the road and doesn't need to "entertain" the home fans.

Why don't the analysts ever talk about officiating?

Crawford was looking right at the clip of Lupul being taken out before the rush, and doesn't even mention it.

because it's just something that a team has to play through?  i would imagine the thinking is ..eventually it all works out ..refs screw up ..but over the long haul it doesn't effect any one team more than any other?

Not really, I've seen them play far better than this.  Considering they wanted to prove something tonight, I don't see the required intensity.

I think it's there but I think Boston is playing well too.

You don't think that Boston playing very well is maybe making it difficult for the Leafs to play their game?

They're doing well against the hottest (and arguably best) team in the league.
