Game 25: Bruins @ Leafs 7:00PM TSN

@HackswithHaggs Joe Haggerty
Tim Thomas 1st goalie off ice in Toronto. It looks like he'll be starting vs. Maple Leafs. Going for a career-best 9 wins in a row tonight

Not much of a surprise, but Thomas gets the start tonight.

Kinda shows the respect there giving us. last year they would have used us as a team to give there backup a game.

Why, Ron, why? Just when I think I like you, you do this...

jonasTSN1050 Jonas Siegel
Lines this morning: Lupul-Bozak-Kessel. MacArthur-Connolly-Kulemin. Crabb-Colborne-Frattin. Rosehill-Grabovski-Dupuis. Steckel.

So, the exact same forward lines as the last game. That makes sense to me.

Last season Thomas started 5 of the 6 games against the Leafs.

Well, no, I mean the Bruins haven't played in days and won't play again for days. That's a game their #1 is going to get no matter what. The Leafs played Thomas last year too.

Why change what is not broken, I would not change the lineup at this point.

I'd rather call up Kadri than dress Rosehill (if possible.)

Just say no to doing the yo-yo. No more calling up top prospects for one or two games at a time.

I'm with you in principle but vs. Boston? I go against that principle and attack them with as much speed if possible. Force Boston in to dumb penalties, you know? Let our PP win us the game. I'd even toy with the idea of putting JG on the wing in place of Rosehill.

I just don't want to see Seguin rack up any more points against the Leafs the next 2 games, is that too much to ask?  To not constantly be slapped in the face by Seguin?

The principle here is much more important than the opponent in a single game. It's a bigger picture thing, and, when it comes to calling people up for short stints and such, it's the bigger picture that's important. Everything you want the Leafs to do can be accomplished perfectly well without using Kadri like a yo-yo for tonight's game.

I agree with you entirely.  Let Kadri continue to dominate the A for a long period (unless of course we are ravaged with injuries).  I really don't like calling him up for 1 or 2, sending him down for 10, calling him up for a couple, sending him down again, etc.  A long, extended stay in the A, until their is nothing left he can accomplish down there is a lot more beneficial in the long run.

Since it's on TSN, this is a game I'd typically record while I was at work and then watch afterwards. But I've long since given up recording Leafs/Bruins games. No good can come from it.

Except last year, when they started to pwn them... but maybe that was because I stopped recording...?

I'm so confused.

7-1 Leafs.

Loved that goal.  :)

Such a memorable goal for several reasons:  coming back from the hits, 1-on-3, GWG with just over a minute left, 2nd of the game.  One of the most memorable regular season Leaf goals in recent years.

I wanna be positive about this game, I really do, but so far the Leafs have shown absolutely no ability to match the type of game the Bruins play.  If Boston is able to effectively work the cycle again, it'll be another long night.  If the Leafs can manage some good defensive zone decisions and not allow extended possessions in their end, they'll have a shot.

4-1 Bruins, ecstatic if I'm wrong.

One thing is for sure, the leafs MUST show up. I mean say that they lose by 4-5 goals or so, then people will really start talking. The leafs must prove that they don't have a "special" problem with Boston, not only for fans, but for Boston as well.
