Game 25: Bruins @ Leafs 7:00PM TSN

What I dislike about that call is that Aulie made a concerted effort to stop, got hit and made contact with a goalie who is at the edge of the blue paint.

Protecting goalies is important, but why not take the who makes the shove, too?  He's just as much a part if the issue on that play.

Wishful thinking, I know, and probably impossible to call correctly with any sort of accuracy.

crabb...earning his paycheck tonight

Crabb has been great on the PK ever since he came up.  It seems every game he either creates a chance SH or else ties up the attacking team in its own end.

So these refs call goalie interference, somebody write that down.
Apparently this isn't one

Marty St Louis just took out Jimmy Howard in the Detroit v Tampa game with a trip below the knees and got called for nothing... No consistency around the NHL at all

It's very consistent.  Injury = no call for some reason.  :o

Reimer, Miller, now Howard no calls.  BS like we just witnessed and "the league wants to protect the goaltenders".

I think Lucic got a penalty on the Miller one.

OK forgot that but with no suspension a 2 min penalty is way worth it to take out the #1 goalie of a division rival.  So protect the goalies my ass.

I'm pretty sure Gionta got called for interference when he smoked Reimer too.

I guess if you can afford the Platinums you don't actually need to get back to SIT in the Platinums.

This happens the beginning of the period every home game - maybe it's time we stop talking about it or getting upset about it.

No call at all on Gionta that I recall.

I don't believe I've ever commented on it before nor do I recall anyone else. Not mention that I'm not 'angry'. It was merely an observation.

From the boxscore of that game:

1st Period
1:15 Montreal interference with goaltender - 2 min B. Gionta drawn by J. Reimer
