Game 27: Toronto Maple Leafs @ New York Rangers W4-2

I don't understand...the Power-play is awesome...also Bozak is going to get a big pay-day if he keeps playing like this.

Hey, does anyone know if the Maple Leafs have any unusual guests with them on this road trip? Family members maybe?

I think all the 3rd cousins or something are along for the ride tonight. :P

After being made to look bad by a good team in Boston, the Leafs sure are making another good team look bad here.

That was a lovely PP goal.  They seem to have picked up right where they left off before meeting that team they're utterly incapable of beating.

Hopefully soon Kessel scores some more so they can stop showing all of his goals in one promotional commercial.

Just another assist. Sorry. You must be reaalllyyy disappointed.

If they would have made this the "bring your pregnant wife" road trip at least Grabo would be playing.
Hahah, I almost said the exact same thing.

Thankfully, he's under contract for another season at what now looks like a discount.

Huh. You'd think they'd mention something like that on one of the broadcasts.

Well, with a little advance planning she could have given birth in the locker room.  Grabs would have missed 2, 3 shifts tops.

But no, instead of managing the damn team Burke was busy trading catty tweets with Damien Cox.

You'd think, but, you know how these broadcasters are - what with their subtlety and the need only mention these things once in passing.

Gus went on an adventure there on that one play behind the net, but came out and made a smart play to take the scoring chance away from the Rangers.  Aside from that he has really been solid in net.  He's squaring up to the shots well and isn't giving up bad rebounds...been like that for the last 5-6 games or so but it also seems to be a little more consistent.

When your backup manages to go 8-5 to start the year...and two of his losses came against Boston, that's not bad.

Also, if Lundqvist wasn't so good I think this game would be 7-1
