Game 28: New Jersey Devils vs Toronto Maple Leafs OTL3-2

And the Devils player slashed at Kessel twice on that play, both times going for the stick and hitting him in the arms......

This reminds me of the back to back when we played Carolina at 5pm. Leafs were flat for 2 periods and finally woke up in the 3rd but it was too late.

Yeah, I was thinking that too, though in fairness to the Leafs of two weeks ago, this is much worse :).

I think there's still a real chance to come back here. NJ hasn't exactly been playing all that great.

THAT'S what I want to see. Schenn and Franson stepping up and put'n a beat down on a Devil player. We're done 2-0 but those kinda hits pump the guys up!

What has gotten into Franson...he's starting to use his size way more than I thought he was known for.

I can't remember the Leafs standing up guys at the mid-ice the way they have these past few games.  Good job by Franson.

Brodeur looks like he's on his game tonight - that will make things tough - but, the Leafs have definitely ratcheted up their physical play over the last couple games.

Oh, there's definitely still a good chance to climb back, but they really need to get moving.  Watching them this first period, there's a lot of slow reactions and lazy legs.

Franson lays a legitimate hit and then Boulton cross checks him. Make sure you call the slashing and whatever else was called first though....
