First post has been updated. Could this finally be the game the Leafs break the streak? All their top scorers have gone cold. They're finally missing some of their depth. Kadri and Kessel are on fire.

I am hoping we get a win, but still no Lupul, and Komarov is out for 10 days (we know with our luck it will be the whole ten days). I too am hoping Hamilton brings somthing extra with him tonight. but to be real I'll  hope for a point, and maybe With Lupul back mon we steel two.

Carlyle said Hamilton could see some time with Kessel/Bozak.  ???

Makes more sense than, say, Grabovski I guess, because two talented players on one line is just nuts.

Komarov is out 7-10 days, not games!

I will be at a wedding, so no game for me, hopefully they stop this streak and can move 2 games above .500 at home.

Go Leafs Go!

I can't see that happening.

Really? You can't see Carlyle making a bizarre line-up decision?

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure why AHL guys/guys who don't get in the lineup go from not worthy of a roster spot to 20+ minutes of top line duties.

I think Hamilton deserves an opportunity to show that he can play in the NHL but put him with a guy like Kadri at least who can make things happen.

Yeah, so he wasn't good enough to get in before, but now he's good enough to play on the 1st line?

I don't see Carlyle doing it, but wouldn't surprise me.

I'll say this, Bozak certainly can't complain that he hasn't been given a good opportunity to put numbers up in a contract year.

they can't afford to lose both these games..and yet it feels that's exactly what they're going to do...i'm more than willing to be wrong here...but it seems like we just match up horribly against this team

We've been right there with them both games this season, so not sure why you think we match up terribly with them.  Obviously not good that there's been no wins to show for it, but they're not dominating the Leafs in play.

while i'm willing to agree that they haven't dominated us like last season ..i still felt like in those games..they clearly had the edge in play..it's not that the leafs couldn't have won those games..but i definitely felt like it would have been an "upset"  ...again..only my opinion..but watching them ..it seems like when they want to ..they can set up in the leafs zone and hem them in for a decent amount of time getting quality chances over and over again ...where as the leafs have to be much more opportunistic ...

i'm hoping you're right ..but i think that we'll have to see more out of this team then we have....and having lupul and komorov out for this one won't help

I think both games have been pretty even.  Last game in Boston I thought the Leafs had more chances and carried most of the play, Boston just capitalized on the ones they had/took advantage of Leafs miscues.

Isn't anybody considering the possibility that this could simply be a statement by Carlyle, either verbally or in-game, to tell his existing forwards not to get too comfortable with their line number or ice time?

I would feel a lot more confident if we had Lupul in the lineup; he makes that much of a difference.

If Kadri keeps playing the way he is though, the Leafs can beat anyone.
