Game 32: Bruins @ Leafs - Mar. 23, 7:00pm - CBC

I've been singing "Don't Get Smoked By Boston" to the tune of R.E.M.'s Don't Go Back to Rockville in my head all day.

And waste another year...

Dear Grabovski,

Please do this to the Bruins again tonight...

I wonder if these Bruins are in our team's head like they're in mine. - I've already written off 4 of the next possible 4 points.  :-\ - Sorry for the lack of spirit/faith.

Truthfully, it makes the game easier to watch if you have no positive expectations.

Losing to a team 8 times in a row tends to have that effect! Makes for an easy decision on proline though!

Carlyle said Hamilton could see some time with Kessel/Bozak.  ???

I can't see that happening.

Really? You can't see Carlyle making a bizarre line-up decision?

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure why AHL guys/guys who don't get in the lineup go from not worthy of a roster spot to 20+ minutes of top line duties.

I think Hamilton deserves an opportunity to show that he can play in the NHL but put him with a guy like Kadri at least who can make things happen.

Yeah, so he wasn't good enough to get in before, but now he's good enough to play on the 1st line?

I don't see Carlyle doing it, but wouldn't surprise me.

Isn't anybody considering the possibility that this could simply be a statement by Carlyle, either verbally or in-game, to tell his existing forwards not to get too comfortable with their line number or ice time?

I figure he'd do that in private, since Kadri says Carlyle is #1 best communicator!1!

I interpret is Carlyle considering giving Hamilton a few shifts with Bozak and Kessel. Nothing more than that. He's not being promoted to the top line or anything like that - more that he's going to be given some chances to show what he can do in more than a 4th line role.

Really, the lines get all switched up during the games anyway...when they're losing.

The guy has earned a shot at showing what he can do, worst thing that happens if he sucks is he's demoted to fourth line duty.  He does have 30 goals on the ever changing lineup of the farm team.

I don't think its a good idea to pair Liles and Gardner together.  How would either of those guys handle the big boston forwards?

First post has been updated. Could this finally be the game the Leafs break the streak? All their top scorers have gone cold. They're finally missing some of their depth. Kadri and Kessel are on fire.

Now that's a h-quality GDT starter post.  Well done.

I hope they aren't planning to make me turn off the computer and tv for earth hour during my TWO games tonight. Once again, the schedule gods got me :-( Leafs at 7, Colts playoffs at 730.......I need multiple tvs! never mind shutting them down!!! (all the polar bears up north hate me now)

Love the badmouthing of Miller.  If the Sabres want to get rid of him, I'd take him in a second.
