Game 39 - Tampa Bay Lightning vs Toronto Maple Leafs W7-3

Putting Downie on the ice in situations like that should be an automatic suspension.  He's nothing more than a blatant instigator.

Yes, let's just let the guy who leads the league in goals wide open on a non-odd-man-rush.

I don't see how that was Kadri's fault.  Aulie was slow getting back and Phaneuf didn't take away the shot or the pass.

Kadri was on too long but I think it was Gardiner that changed with Aulie at kind of a sucky moment.

Kessel, if I got it right, bobbled the puck before that too.

I really don't like Downie or his antics. He's like another Avery and the refs should see that.

Downie smart enough to stay away from Aulie. Then looks for Boyce. Phaneuf looked like he still had his skate guards on.

Yup, can't blame Aulie there, Gardiner changed as Lupul got the puck and passed it across the ice instead of dumping it deep.

So the count on that:

Downie with a jumping elbow to Phaneuf in the corner.  Chases Phaneuf to the front of the net and punches him/hits him high twice.  Pushes him to the ice and hits him again in the head.

Phaneuf calls him out, Downie does nothing.  Aulie comes over and Downie chickens.  Downie then gets engaged with much smaller Darryl Boyce.

Kadri was also dipty-doodling at the blue line just prior to that, ignoring the fact he has team mates which is kind of the knock on  him.
