I know getting the point back is supposed to be some kind of moral victory but somehow, I'm not feelin' it this morning. Oh well, shrug it off and on to the next...

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, after reading Moneyball for the second time, I am now, more than ever, comfortable with results as a whole rather then game to game.  Basically, everything is part of a process.  You are going to win games you shouldn't.  Lose games you should win.  You can't win them all, yadda yadda.

At the end of the day, as Lou Pinnella once said, 'Every team wins a third of their games, and every team losses a third of their games... it's what you do in the other third that separates you.'

I've watched enough hockey to know we're going to have some ups and downs so just let the damn season play out :)

I like the cut of that jib.

You like Lou's sail?

Sure do.

I'm in. So we'll meet back here in late march to discuss the team?

Now that that's cleared up...how are we going to address the energy needs of a growing economy while balancing environmental concerns in the 21st century?

I just wrote and submitted a Masters thesis about that. You have just brought back many many horrible memories for me.

Thanks  ;)

You didn't happen to find the answer, did you? Because that would just be tops.

Well, I came to some conclusions and made up some answers. I doubt anybody outside my thesis supervisor and the markers will pay much attention to them, however!

The answer comes in the word "resilience" and includes things like "renewables" and "energy-descent" and "paradigm shift"

Cody "Bobby Orr" Franson.

Who was the last Leaf to wear 4? Ellet?

Finger, probably.

edit: which, if you think about it, explains the switch. It would have been presumptuous of him to ask for 4 considering Finger would be in camp but, safely back on the Marlies, #4 would be up for grabs with the big club.

So, top goal-scorer doesn't count.  Really?

It doesn't mean he has scored the wall or fortification of the team's goals, no.

Lady, gent, just delete the "war" and go from there.  It's what John Lennon and I have been saying ever since we co-wrote that song.
