Game 4: Islanders at Leafs - LeafsTV 7:00 PM

Besides the flukey goal, the 2nd line has been pretty good shutting down the Isles only real threat in the Tavares line.

I'd rather him make a nice pass than force a shot.  He's still leading all Leafs in shots (at least he was as of the start of the game) - averaging 5 per game coming in.

True. I just felt on a couple of those he had a lane to shoot - maybe not to score, but, to create a rebound opportunity - and chose to pass instead.

Obviously 1 period is far too early to call this game but if the Leafs go 3-1 in the first 4 games that certainly is a nice way to start the year.  Two of the 4 games against bad teams, but 2 of them against very tough competition and coming out of the lockout with a lot of the team not really playing international hockey is a good sign.

I think the biggest thing is that Kessel really hasn't done much so far and the team is scoring.  He's getting great chances and feeding teammates really well but he's a goal scorer and those goals will eventually go in for him.  Getting secondary scoring off the bat could really augment the Leafs chances of not just making the playoffs but not getting steamrolled in the first round.

End of 1st
Rangers-Flyers 0-0 (Hartnell out 4-6 weeks - broken foot)
Habs-Cap 0-0
Sabres-Canes 0-0

@ 14:10
Sens-Panthers 0-0

Leafs & Isles - only teams scoring so far

Panthers just scored and Neil got flattened by a hit. Enjoyable minute or two in that game.

Damn flukey goals. We need to be a bit stronger in our own end this period, coughed the puck up a few times.

Somewhat unbelievable....

Can they do it again? The last time the #Leafs allowed 2-or-fewer goals in each of their first FOUR games of a season was in 1961-62.

You are a massive prick for posting that right now.

Free trial of NHL Gamecenter has convinced me to part with my cash. Streaming it through the XBox onto the HD tv is incredible.

Also, in the NHL Vault I watched Edmonton @ Toronto in 1996 I think, Wendel Clark scored 4. Wish I'd been able to have made it to Maple Leaf Gardens :(

What did that cost you? Being across the pond and all.

I think it's $51 for the season, so about ?35

Actually really good value. Especially when you consider to go see a game here costs ?17 and is lower than ECHL quality!

And you can watch any and every NHL game?  That is incredible value!

There's a satellite TV channel that has some games (about 7 a week) and they're blacked out for about 24 hours on GCL, but yeah, it's incredibly good value. I've seen every Leafs game since the season started so far so it's already worth it I'd say.

Great start to this game tonight too!

signed in for 44.99 US, just setuped the Xbox, Phone and Tablet, amazing quality, and i get to catch every game with no blackouts... \o/

yeah..but blackouts if you live in the toronto area...so then you need a proxy or a vpn if you want to see leaf games

Can anyone confirm that a VPN or proxy works?
