Game 52: Maple Leafs @ Sens 7:00pm, lets kick some Ottawa behind!

Just tuned in now. How's Reimer playing?  Is it a case of Sens generating no offense cause they're a tired team or has he been good?

He hasn't needed to be spectacular but he's been solid.

Can somebody summarize any interesting comments on the Hotstove -- for those of us watching a Swedish feed.  Many thanks.

Great effort by Lombardi to get up and pressure the puck.
also Bozak had a good kill on that PK...

Leafs survived the 2nd... Ottawa fired 21 shots on that period!!!!

Ottawa is the top team in the NHL on 3rd period goals, so NO MELTDOWN boys...

Well, the sens were throwing everything at him in the 2nd and, well, you know the rest. He's been very good tonight.

He returned from injury in the last game of 2011 and leafs have no ppga in 2012 so far.  Partly coincidence with the team discipline we've seen but he has helped the pk get it together too I think.

Most interesting thing so far is that Columbus decided not honour Carter's NTC when they acquired him, so it no longer exists.

So, who would be ok with 5 mill per for Grabbo?  Seems a little high to me, I was thinking more 4 mill and change per.

5 is a little high, but better than losing him or trading him for futures IMO.

He's on pace for 30 goals and 60 points this season, even after missing a handful of games. It would be his 2nd straight season around those numbers. Add to that he's a quality defensive player, competes hard, adds leadership, etc . . . $5M is probably about right. He might even get a little more than that on the open market, depending on how the new CBA shakes out.

I'd agree with that.  I think the biggest concern is the uncertainty of the new CBA and whether that's a reasonable rate or not.  I'd definitely prefer he stays a Leaf, though.
