Game 6: Bruins @ Leafs - Apr. 21st, 3:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

I'm seriously thinking I can't watch game 7. I can't stand to see Marchand's smug face yet again and the Bruins fans celebrating again. I just can't.

Leafs are winning Tuesday and if not, it should be a great game either way!

The Leafs haven't won a playoff series against Boston since before they won their last Cup.

That will make Tuesday especially sweet. Sorry kid.

I'm more interested to see how much more whining about the refs we can do and who's going to Gardiner it up this time around.

I watch for the reffing. I especially love when linesmen do that fake drop.

What possible way can we save on Marleau's cap hit next year?  If he retires?  Or if he agrees to a trade where the Leaf eat some of his salary?  Can we send him to Robidas Island, what scenario helps?

Trade or long term injury is the only way we save. Know what's really sad tho? He created more offence then Marner tonight and has only 2 fewer points then Marner and JT. Babs def needs to move him though.

I don't expect Nylander to get bumped up, because there won't be anyone to play 3C. I don't expect Marleau to get bumped down, while I think it'd be worth a shot I don't believe Moore or Ennis would be clear upgrades over him anyway. I would like to see Matthews getting double-shifted on the 4th line once or so a period though. Who knows, maybe that's a trump card that Babs has been saving this series until the end.

The Leafs seem to consistently play worse at home, when Babcock can (and does) engage in rigid line-matching. Tavares and Marner seem to be having a hard time getting anything going offensively, and they haven't been particularly effective at shutting down Bergeron's line either, both possession and points-wise.

We are the fast, young, talented team. We are a much better team on paper than Boston. I can't understand why Babcock feels he has to let Boston dictate the flow of play on home ice, through dogged line matching, rather than force the Bruines to play catch up. It's pretty infuriating.

Nylander needs to play with someone good.
Sounds like a repeat from last year and at times this year also with Matthews. Babs refuses to adjust during games and when he does attempt to adjust he does it for a shift or 2.
A prime example is the PK. The personal isn't getting the job done so change it....nope, not Babs.

The Leafs did better on the road because Babs can dictate  the gane with the 1st change. Babs has to get away with his stupid play the 4th line after a goal crap or a pk. We were winning this game and in control until the 4th line took a penalty. That can't happen and it wouldn't have if Babs didn't put them on. Why do you want to kill momentum? Put JT out there or Matthews. I'm pretty sure they were rested up enough.
As for the JT line they're getting doing ok but they need to start scoring. They have to match that line and they're not. Let's hope they can get it going next game. We need them.
