Game 6: Leafs @ Sabres 7:00PM LeafsTV

And to think Frattin couldnt even make this lineup out of training camp?  Now 3 goals in 3 games....hoe many does Kessel have?

Was wondering about the shootout picks.. good thing we didn't have to go there haha.. do you put in a snakebit Phil?

Unbelievable. Great game by Frattin, McClement, Franson even and Reimer was steady all night. Well deserved. 3 wins on the road now.

Frattin - 3G 2A in 3 games
Kadri - 3G 3A in 6 games

Komarov got his first NHL point

A day after saying Phaneuf shouldn't have played 32 minutes he plays 27.

Ya didn't understand that either unless he was still feeling some ill effects from his injury. Kid was coming into his own towards the end of last year and I think expectations were high so not sure why he was sent down.

Called it.  Buffalo always gives up 1st NHL points.

Source: seems like it should be true so why not

I'm not a Leaf hater by any stretch.. but Phaneuf does seem to miss the net quite a lot. I know he's going for the bank play a lot of the time, but the rebound makes for good scoring opportunities too. And TO does have a rep as a slump buster.. but that's just going to happen when you miss the play-offs 10 straight years. I don't know about the 1st NHL point thing.. but I'm not sure if I'm biased in saying the Leafs lose a lot of heartbreakers.

that being said.. Reimer looks good.. if he doesn't get hurt we could be respectable again!

Including OT?

IMO he should be at 20-22.  I'd like to see the ice time distributed more evenly among the rearguard.

Phaneuf was fine tonight IMO. 27+ minutes, 40 shifts, no points, but he was a +1.

He made a good play late in the game to get his stick in front of a shooter to put the shot over the glass. Not sure who shot it but it was a great play.

I like Phaneuf and he did have a good game.. just wish he would stop trying to snipe or bank every shot. He's got a great shot that could produce some great rebounds.

I have to say that this Leaf team is much better than I thought it would be.  They are playing quite well overall.  I find they are getting tired at the end of the game but hopefully that will improve as the season goes on.

His stick was in shooting lanes most of the night I think.

I'm surprised more players don't get out of the way of his shot, I wouldn't want to go down and block one of them. His shot does rise a bit more than I'd like, but what can you do? Hope he learns to keep it around the knees.
