These guys needed a game like this. Things were going too well, in spite of all the holes in their game. Hopefully, this will help reality sink in a little more for them.

Second. He scored opening night.
No he didn't
Lombardi and Phaneuf did.

I feel for the kid, he was playing up to par and then, just started fading away the more the Bruins scored.

Defense was shoddy in front of Goose, yeah. Bruins came out hard also. Franson is a 6' 4" pussy.
Yup, easy to deeply dislike Franson for his part in that 3rd goal. I agree.
Let's look on the bright side: he's been on the ice for four goals against tonight - Komi will be back !! ;D
Before the season started, I was concerned for him because of all the hype. He was a 6/7 dmen in Nashville and that's probably about where he's at with this group. On the upside, he still young enough that he might improve.
Then he went against his agent's advice and shot his mouth off to the media after two games, potentially setting himself up as the whipping boy ... which is a tough act to live through in this town.

Has Reimer faced 45+ shots yet? Most of which have been decent scoring chances? I don't blame anyone for folding under this tonight. In fact, I think he's done pretty well.pnjunction said:BlueWhiteBlood said:Arn said:Gustavsson has only faced the 40 shots so far with 8 minutes to go.

Yup. I thought he was playing fine. The 5th goal was a softie however, but he kept it close for a while.
You know, I reckon if he went somewhere else he'd have a good career. I just feel for him cos it feels like it isn't going to happen in Toronto for the guy

What's the problem it's true. Have you noticed any significant improvement in that department let alone much else? I know it's only one game and to be honest with I didn't expect them to win this one.
Sure were off to a good start and I'm happy for that but we haven't exactly dominated any of the games thus far and we still struggle with the same issues. It's frustrating.

The loss is obviously not his fault but he sure seemed to fold after a few goals compared to Reimer.

Fransuck?
Frandaughter?

Just think, if Montreal had scored one more goal in their playoff series with Boston, they wouldn't be the defending champs! ;D
Ifs and buts!
