Game 6 - Toronto Maple Leafs @ Boston Bruins L6-2

It's funny. We're without Mac and Armstrong, who obviously bring quite a bit to this team, but at least in terms of providing offense, I feel just as good about the lineup for tonight. Obviously Kadri is a bit of a question mark, as is Frattin on the second line, but I've been impressed with his work ethic and shot. Plus, again, at least offensively, Armstrong and Mac have been struggling.

Although, I'm guessing we will notice Armstrong's absence tonight, much like last year.

Where can I look up PK and PP percentages?

nhl.com

Interesting to see that the PP is actually doing better than the PK so far. 17th for PP, 25th for PK.

It also shows how irrelevant some of those numbers are with so few games played, couple days ago those positions were essentially reversed with Leafs pk at 83.3%..

Yeah, eventually it'll even itself out, but it'll take around 20 games to see any sort of longer term trends.

Steckel better center that line, cause remove a 89% guy on the dot last night is insane!

Also Kadri was demoted last night and recalled this morning... he will get the winner tonight.

Go Leafs Go!

I don't know if the Leafs will miss Armstrong that much. I've barely noticed him in the games he has played. Then again, I've barely noticed half the forward group so who knows?

I think we'll really need some scoring from the 2nd and/or 3rd lines tonight.  Chara is going to be all over Kessel I wouldn't count on that line for more than one goal (always love to be proven wrong though).  Of course Gustavsson also has to keep most of the pucks out to give the offence a chance.

It'd be really nice to see Kulemin and Grabovski contribute on the scoresheet tonight.

Kulemin's only got 4 shots on goal this year. Grabovski with 8.

No kidding... They've had the odd decent shift but but in large, they just aren't clicking right now.

Is Thomas the confirmed starter for tonight?

No but he was the first off the ice from practice which the Bruins media suggests is an indication he'll start.

Krejci isn't an insignificant loss for the Bruins. While I think we lose (more to do with back to back games and the travel than anything else) I do feel we'll keep it close. 4-3 bad guys.

It always really helps to get a goal from the defense.  Here's hoping Liles or Gardiner chips one in.

Really looking forward to seeing how Goose responds to his first start and how the team plays in front of him.

Even when he's on the 4th line Steckel sometimes plays wing but still takes the faceoffs.

I fear this game. We're 4-0-1 like last season, about to play the defending champs, and a bad loss could start giving the team that "oh no is this gonna happen again?" feeling.

I'm missing the first period since my kid has skating lessons.
