Game 65: Maple Leafs @ Les Habs 7:00pm - The New Era ?

Isles beat Boston this afternoon and are two points behind the Leafs, who are currently in position to draft 6th overall!

Interesting times ahead...

D pairings:

Phaneuf/gunnarsson
Liles/Komisarek
Schenn/Gardiner

Komisarek in? Fire Carlyle?

I guess Komisarek will have to bring that physical edge tonight, or he'll probably be out on Tuesday against Boston, where he'll most likely be more needed. Carlyle didn't have to dress more physicality against the hobbits IMO. I think Franson should have been in tonight and Komi on Tuesday, but that's me.

Komisarek is a Carlyle kind of player. No more hanging out beside the net trying to block passing lanes. Opposing forwards are going to be knocked down around the net frequently, and with prejudice. I suspect Schenn and Komisarek to start looking like defensemen again.

It would probably make more sense to lose ever game.
But my heart wants to see the Leafs like Hulk Hogan when he was almost down and out.

I'm with you Ken.  I really don't think Komi and Schenn are as terrible as they have looked lately.  I think when they're utilized properly - clear the front, play the body, knock heads - they're going to look a lot better and play up to potential.  Hopefully Carlyle has Schenn pinching less and both of them playing more to their strengths.

Personally I think that RC and BB have a plan to turn around the play of at the very least Komi, that way they can flip him in the off season and make some more cap room.

I'm looking forward to seeing Luke and Komi knocking some hab nots around tonight.

GO LEAFS GO!!!

The head coach with the initials RC will win tonight.

Really going out on a limb with that one, eh?

I think we can be even more specific than that.  Randy vs. Randy.

Hey, I saw a flick with that title once.

Supposedly a little shake up on the forward lines...

MacArthur Grabovski Frattin
Kulemin  Steckel    Connolly
Crabb      Lombardi  Brown
