No complaints about these refs tonight:

This is an all-star referee crew.
I heard on the radio, seriously good news.

They'll undoubtedly spot all that skate bumping and send a steady stream of Leafs slew-footers to the box. I was hoping the Leafs could sneak those cheats in for tonight's game, but alas, foiled again!

This is a game where I really wish we had Kadri available and could just roll three centers most of the night and actually be a threat to score with all three lines. Willy is doing a good job but with Brown and Marleau on his flanks it's not a line that's going to put up many points. Ennis or Moore might make it a bit more of a threat -- at both ends of the ice. He's a great player on a good contract but he does SFA for us watching from the press box. It's disappointing since I felt like it was the 3rd line depth more than anything that had the potential to be the difference-maker in this series. Now I feel like we are going to need either a bit of luck from the puck gods or some glaring blunder from the Bruins in order to prevail.

I really hope like crazy that I'm wrong. Go Leafs go!

Just reached Pendleton Oregon on my trip home. The room TV has the game on, which is great. I am pumped and Leafs are going to win. I see myself calling my Son at his Chefs job and letting him know that we are in the second round. Go Leafs Go.

On Monday Babcock was asked if he?ll consider taking a different approach to his game plan in Game 7.

?No. One hundred per cent the opposite of that piece of advice,? he said.

One of the stupiest quotes I have ever read.

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/nhl/dave-feschuk-stubborn-babcock-passes-on-change-with-leafs-special-teams-falling-short/ar-BBWbS9V?li=AAggNb9

This article infurates me.

And as for the penalty kill, according to NHL.com, going back to 1985-86 there?ve been 424 teams whose playoff runs lasted at least six games. Toronto?s 2019 penalty-kill percentage, an embarrassing 56 per cent, ranks 423rd out of 424. The Leafs? 2018 penalty kill ranks 421st. Their 2017 work ranks 407th. Those numbers are Babcock?s numbers.

THREE YEARS IN A ROW!!!! Jesus, adapt you idiot! If Hyman takes a defensive zone PK faceoff, Bab's should be fired mid-game. No one can dispute these facts if Babcock can't make an adjustment after 3 playoffs to the PK he has to go.
I wish this site had likes because I love this post.
