The Islanders won, so they're a point back. In Anaheim beats Edmonton tonight, they stay ahead. Minnesota's 1 point back if they lose in regulation (they're currently trailing). All this game does is take Montreal out of equation.

Possibly. Perhaps some just aren't that excited over the prospect of getting a draft pick we probably won't see the result of for 3 years, and probably won't even be that good.

I have no idea why people cheered the team at the end of the game. If there was ever a time when the team deserved to be booed then this was it. A pathetic season being capped off by captain fantastic getting a meaningless overtime winner and celebrating like it was a 7th game in the playoffs. The Leafs cost themselves a great draft pick last night. What will they do Saturday? Fall even further? And if so, pardon me for not cheering!
