Habs @ Leafs - Feb 25th, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

14 Games.  14 straight games without a win against this team.  This is unbelievable.  This is starting to defy the laws of statistics.

For those who like Babcocks decisions in OT wake up. His f'n love for some guys is the reason we aren't in the playoffs as of today. Hyman cost us two goals tonight and still boggles my mind why he's even out there in OT.

It's unacceptable.  They aren't that good.  I don't care if there's a Shanaplan or not, Babcock should be ashamed, and pissed off.

14 straight losses to the Habs, ouch. 19 year old Auston Matthews did everything he could but Leafs end up with another loser point.

I love Babcock, but I have to wonder why Hyman gets ice time in OT over more skilled guys (like Brown [emoji6])

Well to be fair, this dates back 3 years ago.  The last time they beat them was in 2014 in January.  This isn't on Babcock.  It's just a fate/destiny/kismet/hockey gods laughing thing.  Still frustrating.  The bogus call in the third.  The non-call in overtime.  These are just little things that eventually add up to the Leafs not winning.

Heck of a game, hard to be mad at them for it.

I stood up when Matthews had that breakaway in OT, I thought it was going to be the storybook ending.

Things are changing,  but they're still the Leafs.

Some of it is though.

The thing I like best about Babcock is that he seems like a level headed guy and I'm pretty sure he's going to do the work on what can be improved after every game.

Honestly though, I'm really struggling to come up with something he should feel bad about here.

It's too bad Hyman didn't get the memo that slashing a player who's going in all alone is totally legal in overtime situations. The league really needs to make sure those go out league-wide and not just to Galchenyuk.

Losing.  To an archrival.  It does mean something a little bit more.

I mean, if it's Radulov or Galchenyuk or Pacioretty there I guess I sort of understand trying to deny them the puck but Shaw? Jesus, let him have the breakaway. If you don't think you can stop Andrew Shaw you should be on the bench.

Like I said, my favourite thing about him is he doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who thinks that way.

I concur, Carlton. Fairy tale ending thwarted.
