Losing.  To an archrival.  It does mean something a little bit more.

Like I said, my favourite thing about him is he doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who thinks that way.

Good God man, do you have the soul of CPA?  I should be talking you off of a ledge right now.

Oof, that one smarts. But we can beat that team. Could've use MM and TyBo tonight, where'd we be without AM.

I get that fans aren't always going to be rational about things and that's understandable but I think it's important for the coach of the team to approach things rationally. It's important for him to treat it as just another game and not let the team get too high or too low after any one result. It's frustrating for us to have these 14 losses in a row but because of the roster turnover the reality is there's really not much connecting them outside of magical thinking and, again, I'd hope Babcock would resist that.

The Leafs were shorthanded but managed to outshoot the Habs and were an Auston Matthews breakaway from winning. The result is disappointing but to cast it as a coaching failure seems nutty.

True story: My parents lived in two houses on residential streets in downtown Toronto while I was growing up. One had a buddhist temple at the end of the block, the other one had a buddhist temple right next door.

I concur, Carlton. Fairy tale ending thwarted.

lol I love CtB's reactions in 3-on-3 overtime!

Habs' Price on Matthews:

He's all right; I think he'll be a good player in this league. He's a special talent, very aware of all of his surroundings. A quick shot, quick release, they've got a good one with him."

So you really are a Buddhist CPA. I had long suspected.

It was a completely sarcastic comment.
