Leafs have recalled Peter Holland.

Jerry D'Amigo goes down to the Marlies to make room for Holland, who had three goals in two AHL games. #leafs

But I like Holland and D'Amigo...  :-\

You think he's good enough to take Orr's spot?  I mean, sure Carlyle on the one hand doesn't trust him enough to play him more than 5:52 per game and rarely in the third yet still wants him on the roster for 35 games while D'Amigo was trusted with over 1:00 of PK time per game.

There is no other hand.

Finally, the answer to the question of the sound of one hand clapping.

mirtle: There was a nine-game stretch where Holland played about 14 minutes or more and Leafs were clearly better. Wasn't just him but...

mirtle: In those nine games, Leafs were outshot by less than three shots per game. Since those games, they've been outshot by 11.4 a game.

I Bet RC is pissed. Now he has to play him, and I am betting on the 2nd line. if Nonis is spending a 2nd rounder he will want Holland to play big mins.

I'm not sure you can link the shots for/against to Holland

Honestly, if Holland was brought back up to play on the 4th line, I'm going to lose it.

I fully anticipate you losing it tomorrow, assuming Kadri on the 4th will make you lose it too. 11 is written in permanent marker in the 3rd line centre position.

Now we need Komorov. and this team will be hard to play. Oh crap we sent down the wrong guy.. why not Orr, and his punch buddy.

What changed in the last few games? According to the Leafs Washington was the best game the Leafs played in a month, and I didn't catch the NJ game but Carlyle seemed pretty happy with that one as well.

50% of a good move. Better than some of the moves of late.

Maybe Orr is going to move onto the PK

I think I'm done.  Veteran uselessness getting preferential treatment on a good team is one thing.  Getting preferential treatment on a craptastic team is another.

Still going to watch as many games as I can but I have board exams coming up and interviews for program spots.  I don't think I can obsess over the smaller aspects of the team if this is how all of the moves are going to be approached.

Yeah. That would likely also set me off, but, with Holland . . . less than a week ago, Carlyle publicly stated that putting Holland on the 4th line was bad for his development. It's just that extra little bit of fuel for the fire.
