I?m kind of surprised that there isn?t a ?spare? official on each game crew who can do the linesman role if one of the 4 officials goes off.

But then I suppose it?s not often they?d be called upon and the 3 man system isn?t totally alien.

They should just pull an EBUL from the stands.  Or maybe get Ron down from the studio.
