Definitely missing McCabe. Having the 3 Timmins, Benoit and Myers in the lineup at the same time is a recipe for disaster. Mind you Reilly and Tanev are -2. Like to see how many nights Tanev has been a -2 or worse. Coincidence he was paired up with Reilly .

Great start to the game, not so great finish. The defence was really weak (coverage and outlet passing in particular). I'm shocked at how poor Rielly has been looking. Also, we need a legitimate 3C; Domi is absolutely clueless out there. We'd be better off putting a jersey on a jack russell terrier in the defensive zone.

Yet despite all of that, and the injuries, we're still in 1st :oops:
 
In hindsight, you can see the team was on their way to playing a stinker to end the winning streak. Their last game against Philly was not great overall and the one before that was only okay. Hopefully, it's just a one game (well, 2/3+ of a game) lull.

You could argue it has been a 3 game lull even though they won 2 of them.

I didn't see the game last night, but tsn says that the top line was a combined -17 last night...like how does that even happen?
