Hutch has been good be still seems to give up too many juicy rebounds. Leafs have been cleaning them up pretty well, fortunately.

Yup his rebound control isn't good. Hope Leafs can close this out.

I know Willy is getting a lot of praise lately but I'm totally impressed with Kerfoot. His game has gone to a new level since being moved to wing.

+1.  He gets himself lost in the offensive circus and then becomes dangerous.

And he's been great in the D zone too.

The last little while before that promotion he was actually starting to look pretty good centering the 3rd line with Kappy and Engvall. They were getting some good chances, spending a ton of time in the o-zone, scoring a bit, and not giving up much the other way.

Very true. He's never been a full time centre men.

Really happy for Hutch. What a huge confidence-builder this game will be for him. He made some huge saves when it as 0-0 to give his team a chance, then cruised on home once they had the lead. Good on him.

What a game.  What a win.  Beat a team at their own game, Hutch with the shutout.  Really good vibes from tonight.

Hutch got lucky with a couple of posts but overall he played really well.  Even more impressive is that the Leafs won in a completely different way: stayed patient, played a good low-event defensive game, and waited for their breaks.  I've seen that scenario a hundred times *against* the Leafs; nice to see *for* them.

Flipped over to the OTT/TB game which was tied. As soon as I turn it on TB scores. Then White from OTT head butts one in. It doesn't count, but it was funny.

Goalies aren't lucky when it hits the post. It means they were in the proper position!! Do agree though, the Leafs played a very patient game and stuck with the plan. Didn't take any unnecessary chances and their talent rewarded them in the end. Man do the Isles play a boring style tho.
