WPG
?Connor Hellebuyck (22-11-1, 2.41 GAA, .924 Sv%) will likely start for the Jets
?Winnipeg somewhat surprisingly finds themselves tied for 1st place in the Western conference. Connor Hellebuyck playing like a Vezina-worthy goalie has played a significant role in that

TOR
?Ilya Samsonov (13-4-1, 2.24 GAA, .916 Sv%) will likely start for the Maple Leafs
?Assuming that Sandin has recovered from his illness in time for this game, but confirmation for that will probably come at the morning skate

Samsonov confirmed to start. Sandin comes back in for Timmins.

For you, the day the Leafs graced your team [the Jets] was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Thursday.

I don't want to induce in aneurysm in you, but they should dress Simmonds tonight in case WPG can't control its inferiority complex.

I actually watched this movie on NYE.  As bad as it was, Raul Julia acts his ass off to try and make it work.  He's great.

Anyways, Go Leafs Go!

I can't understand why Timmins sits this one.

Anyway, Go Leafs Go!!!

He had some rough shifts.  I kind of get wanting the more physical Benn in for the Jets.

I'd also want someone a little more surehanded defensively to go up against the Jets offence.

I was leaning toward hoping for a high end forward at the deadline, but my focus has definitely shifted to a highend defenceman instead.

Samsonov laying his claim to the crease?
He's playing great but there isn't a claim yet. Keefe will keep them both playing.

I agree, that's would should happen.  Murray was crap last game but he played pretty well the 2 before.

Gotta keep them both going if possible.

Tavares gets it on the wall with space in front and then turns it out to the point for more perimeter passing ... why not take it to the net?

I don't understand the Leafs PP setup.  Slow repeated passes around the perimeter and you have Nylander playing below the net where he can't shoot.  It's the same problem way too many times from the team.  Stationary play and Rielly provides absolutely nothing at this point for me

See Reply #17.  We're both flummoxed.
