Subtract Danault's double kick goal from the xG and the scoresheet and it's a pretty different looking game. Quick played really well and the Kings killed us off the rush.

Yup. If Simmonds get the puck off the ice a little more on his great chance in the 1st, it's a completely different game. Definitely not as one-sided as the score implies.

I like Kase's game.  He seems to have a bunch of crafty moves like that last one.

I think the checking line really needs him right now but once Mikheyev comes back and goes into that role I'd like to see Kase at least given a shot in the top-6 at some point.

I am hopeful that when Mikheyev comes back that they can create more balance through the lineup for scoring.  It is concerning that currently no one outside of the big four is scoring.

Oh Engvall FFS.  Shoot.

Simmonds has been pretty good but the rest of the B6?  Nope.

They have got to start contributing on the scoresheet.

I understand that the 3rd line of Kase, Kampf and Engvall has superb numbers in terms of expected goals and all that and in terms of starting in the defensive zone then moving the puck up into the offensive zone.

But they only have 6 points between them in 13 games. That definitely needs to change.

Again I don't mind what the 4th line has been doing in general but again only 9 total points (with Spezza having a few of those on special teams).

So yeah, I think they do need more scoring punch from in there.

I wonder if there's a take for Ritchie and you can look at someone like Ho-Sang could have a role. If the third line remains as an uber shutdown one, Ho-Sang on the 4th line with loads of offensive zone starts and some PP time?
