Leafs @ Blue Jackets - Feb. 15th, 7:00pm - SN, Fan 590

Missed quite a bit of the game but Nylander again moved to the 4th line. Not sure if it's deserving but 4-0 don't think anyone has really played well but he seems to get the shaft all the time. Babcock pisses me off with his favorites.

"We need a goal, let's spread out our offence in literally the worst possible way."

edit: They scored literally as I pressed "enter".

They always do that to me when I'm trying to say something nice about Hunlak.

Nylander's been quite good with and without the puck.

My theory is that Babcock needs to roll 4 lines (back to back, keeping up with CBJ's depth) so he blew up the 4th line and Nylander has experience with Smith as well as having the skill to overcome Smith's lack of offence.

If the Leafs want to keep making statement games, pressing back from a 4-1 deficit going into the 3rd would be quite a cathartic way to do it.

Matthews is pretty fired up, so I'm looking for him to just put the team on his back.

I hope you're right. Whether it's Babcock trying to make him a better player or deserved I think it can play into a kids mind.

Martin's seemingly guaranteed spot in the lineup regardless of how he performs is really starting to irk me. Sosh is healthy, having both him and Leivo in the lineup at the same time would go a long way to effectively roll 4 lines.

Nylander in Marner's spot means Smith should be stapled to the bench for the rest of the game.

Now Willy with Matthews. Martin will probably get a shift or two with them with the Hyman broken.

I don't like bad/missed calls as much as the next person, but I'd like the Leafs to be the type of team that plays in such a way that those inevitabilities are inconsequential.
