Leafs @ Canucks - Dec 2, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Man Markstrom is stopping everything. We're actually playing pretty well!

So this is what it feels like to lose a game after taking an early lead and then watching the opposing goalie stand on his head.

Well, payback for EDM I guess.

Why didn't Babcock take a timeout when there was 1:14 left?  Did he use it before?

That was a lot of standing around in the final 30 seconds.  No urgency to make a good play

Babcocks an idiot call a timeout for gods sake, and shoot the puck man killed the last minute all on their own looking for a perfect play. Oh well they deserved to lose Thursday and should have won tonight. Canucks did squat for most of the game. Oh well go celebrate Hughson.

Well, we lost a game we should have won!  We should have lost in Edmonton, but won!

I guess it evens out!

At least we weren't SHUTOUT.

I have tried hard not to ride Babcock for every little decision but sometimes he does stuff that just baffles me.  Unless I missed us taking a timeout earlier, he could have called one with 1:14 left and refreshed the Matthews line.  :-\

I don't recall one and I was thinking the exact same thing. I hope we win a cup during his tenure otherwise going to be awfully tough watching some of his stupid decisions for the next few years.

I do think that his success horizon is longer than ours, as typical fans.  He is willing to take some losses if it means getting the team to play Detroit-in-its-heyday style hockey.  So, for example, he doesn't go out of his way to break up the shift rotation at the end of games.  I think he's pacing the team a lot of nights.

Tonight a was our Karma coming back on us. Andersen has done it, to probably 5 or 6 games. Vancouver did it too us.

I thought Leivo looked outstanding in last night's game.  He was flying around all over the place and he looked really slick handling the puck.  I hope he stays in the lineup more, it's a real shame to have a player like him sitting on the bench so often.

As others have said, the Leafs deserved to win the game last night.  Sometimes luck plays a role.  Nylander hit the post and the Leafs had a ton of chances in tight, multiple empty net opportunities that they whiffed on.

Now they don't play again until Wednesday.  At least the game will be in 4k.  I was hoping 4k would be more widespread by now.  The CBC feeds on the Saturday games are hard to watch on my 75" television.  Extremely blurry.
