Leafs @ Habs - Nov. 30th, 7:00pm - CBC, TSN 1050

My prediction: guaranteed loss.

Potential shocker: the Leafs actually show up.

I don't think that's fair. Save for a period vs Nashville and that stinker vs Columbus, the Leafs' effort hasn't been the problem at all. If anything they are exerting more energy trying to play defence than they would be if they concentrated more on the attack.

If you mean exerting more energy on defence because they've been hemmed in their zone for long periods of time then yes.

Winning on the shot clock would be a victory? Sorry, just hard to be positive the way this team is playing at the moment.

It's a crapshoot which team shows up but they typically do against the Habs -  even thru the JFJ years and the 80s. If they shite the bed then things are real bad.

If Parros is out and either Orr or MacLaren play, then Nonis literally needs to take immediate action.

And fire himself?

Yes, but only after he calls EDM and begs to get Eakins back.

Meh. I'm not blaming Edmonton's struggles entirely on Eakins but some of his decisions kind of make him seem like a Carlyle-clone. I'm actually not too bummed out we lost him anymore.

I'm on the Laviolette train anyway.

Eakins would have been perfect to elevate after last season.  Making the playoffs made that just about impossible, of course.

Is Gardiner sitting? Don't understand that. We are having trouble scoring goals and we sit Gardiner or Reilly. I give up. Montreal has been playing decent lately. Everyone knows how I detest the Habs and their whining fans but I don't see a win tonight unless Price plays poorly or Bernier steals one AGAIN. Kadri, Clarkson need to wake up. Personally I got a feeling Nazem doesn't like playing with Clarkson. Sad to say it but I see a Habs win 4-2.

Isn't CBC bowing to their new Overlords a season early? What's the point of this?

It makes sense for them to "integrate" (or "suck up" if you prefer) ASAP if they want to keep on past year 4.

Projected lines according to @mapleleafs:

JVR-Bozak-Kessel
Clarkson-Kadri-Raymond
McClement-Smith-Kulemin
Ashton-Smithson-Orr

Gunnarsson-Phaneuf
Fraser-Gardiner
Rielly-Ranger

So no Franson. That'll be interested to see on the powerplay.

edit: Siegel is suggesting Franson might be banged up.

So does anybody have a line on Kulikov, given the rumors of talks with FLA?  I don't know anything about him.
