Not his fault, no. He played well through 2, lost his composure a little in the 3rd, but with the way the team played as a whole, that didn't really matter much.

He's probably not going to win the Vezina though like I thought the other day.

Nope. Unfortunately, he's not the instant savior we all dreamed he would be.

That's alright. I've got a pretty good feeling about whatever goalie is currently playing for our ECHL affiliate. He's a keeper.

I always knew you'd be the one to adore Madore.

That would have been Rask.  :(

Maybe, but, with the calibre of the rest of the roster over the last 8 years or so, I think Rask really would have just had the Leafs maintain a level of mediocrity rather than have any serious success. The roster would still be pretty talent thin, there'd just be a Vezina calibre goalie backing them up.

Well, no one player is a "savior," we all agree on that I think.  But honestly, the entire team trajectory of the past 8 years would have been different with Rask in goal. My guess is that they would be in the top half of the league now.  Probably not annual contenders, but certainly in the playoffs on a consistent basis.

But hey, it's only a guess.  There are a million imponderables here.

Ya with Rask we probably would have won a lot of more games but he may have been as friked up as Vesa, Raycroft if he had absolutly no defense in front of him. By now.
