Leafs @ Kings - Mar. 2nd, 10:30pm - SNO, TSN 1050

TBH they should just run the goalie over and knock him down on the shootout then out the puck in the empty net

I'm not going to blame him for either goal this time, but Rielly AGAIN on for all/both goals against. I'm pretty sure he's just doing it to mess with me at this point.

Also, thoughts on Marchenko early on? Not really crazy about him so far. If Carrick's going to be out longer I'd rather see Marincin play and have Rielly slide to the right.

I think he's still sorting some stuff out, communication-wise. Zaitsev had similar issues early in the season (and now he has different issues). Marchenko is definitely too high in the line up right now.

Between Corrado and Marchenko, I liked Corrado's play style better.    Marchenko seems more like a 7th/AHL defenseman to me although he maybe deserves a larger stretch of games to write him off.

I thought Marchenko looked decent last night. He usually makes a good first pass. I'd certainly choose him over the slow footed Polak. Also I thought the shootout could have easily gone either way. Had Marner and Nylander elevated their shots they would have found twine.

I hope they spend some practice time on shootouts

They've certainly got some work to do this summer on that backend.

I can't say I've seen Marchenko play much, but I guess for a waiver pickup we shouldn't expect much.

I'm sure glad the team doesn't go to California often.

It sucks as it's against us, but we're not celebrating the entertainment value of this save enough.

Great move by Nylander. Better save by Quick.

Kopitar said he flubbed his shootout goal too.

If only, if only...they'd retained the lead or had Nylander managed to get a little luckier...(sigh) having the NHL's worst record in terms of blowing two-goal leads in the third period isn't going to help them.

It won't be getting any easier to win games to earn a playoff spot as teams are gearing up their play a notch, as always happens at this time in the season, in playoff push mode.

C'mon Leafs, tighten up the backend.  Offence and goaltending are fine, but we can't afford to lose anymore games to OT or to losing a lead.  Oh wait...the learning process...ah well...
