That was a fun game.  Bernier was at his best.  Clarkson actually had a very good game.  He has tunnel vision with the puck though.  Kulemin seemed to be brutal on the draws but overall did well defensively in the role.

Kessel showed off his skill.  And while maybe that wasn't the best thing for Gleason to do, I'm glad he was stepping up for Bernier.  That was a pretty dirty run at the end of a 4-1 game.

I assumed there was an injury when Orr was sat.  Nice to see that it wasn't the case.  When Holland/Bolland come back after the break, I'm going to enjoy the lineup if this is a thing to come.

Tampa's arena is actually really nice and they do a good job of the pre-game stuff outside.

You went to this one too?

He's actually the equipment manager behind the bench ;)

Did Kadri's dad not get the memo?

That was one of Clarkson's best games as a Leaf.  He's too jittery with the puck, but he makes things happen by always keeping his feet moving.  My guess is he's the type of guy who justifies his salary come playoff time.

Watching Gleason affirms even moreso how horrible Fraser was.  He's been a very nice addition to the blueline.

Couldn't help myself.  I was in the area because of an interview on Wednesday so I figured fly down a day early to see the Panthers game..then drive to Tampa to see this one.  Now I have to get back to the real world and stop going to Leafs games.  Cheap tickets are awesome though.

The real world won't be your biggest problem coming back, LK.  The weather's been brutal.  Glad you had a great time.

He's a Habs fan.  I wouldn't be caught dead in a Habs jersey, even if my son was on the team.

I'm pretty sure he wore one at the Panther's game.  Maybe got it dirtied and couldn't wear it again, lol  ;D

Somebody brought it up then as well that he wasn't wearing the jersey like the rest of the dads.

It's ok for his son to wear one, and collect an NHL paycheque though.  ::)

Maybe it's against his religion? :-\

Really?

Stanley 23:16 - He who supports either the Maple Leaf Blue or Red of Canadien shall combust spontaneously if seen wearing the oppositions colours outside of a lost bet.

I wouldn't say being a Habs fan is a religion exactly, even if it is built around the belief that what happened long ago is still relevant today.

I think a direct descendant on a different NHL team might be the only way I'd cheer for a different team.

Oh man, this is a classic.

Nik, who writes your material for you?  They're pretty good.

I...what?

I can't say for certain as to why Mr. Kadri is the only Leaf father in not wearing a Leaf sweater.

I'm sure most of those Leaf fathers did not grow up as Leaf fans either, yet they are wearing their son's sweater.

What's his personal choice got to do with who his son works/plays for?
