Leafs @ Lightning - Mar. 20th, 7:30pm - TSN4, TSN 1050

Could see Brown with that hook from the moment he dumped it.

Erases a lot of his good decisions and plays from the first period.

Leafs carrying the play.  Lightning got a bit of a spark on the PP, nice to get the kill though.

I was trying to think of how Babcock could possibly keep Johnsson in the line-up when we're completely healthy. I don't see him scratching Komarov. I thought maybe scratch Bozak and keep Nylander at centre but I think he's too big of a part of the powerplay for that to happen (even if he's the 5th most valuable member of that unit). Plekanec isn't getting acquired and then bench. Brown was the only guy I could actually maybe see but even then I'm not sure how the lines would work. It would require Hyman to get dropped somewhere into the bottom-6 and I'm not sure that's happening.

I thought I read somewhere that Johnsson's speed wasn't exactly elite. Whoever wrote that is wrong.

That was me. I said he?s not Kapanen level and his speed comes more from decision making.

Apparently he can really motor when you give him the lane.
He said recently that he feels like one of the fastest players on the ice in his brief time on NHL ice.

Haters gonna hate him, but that was really good defensive play from Gardiner.

Carrick, too, has been much better since he heard our threats to propel him rapidly toward the abode of Helios.

I mean Kapanen might legit be one of the top-10 fastest players in the league so comparing someone to him isn't exactly fair. But that play on his last shift where he just bolted up the ice with the puck was pretty close.

I can conceivably see them keeping Johnsson in and sitting Bozak a handful of the last regular season games to rest. Nylander gets an extended look at centre.

Then playoffs is basically see which team we are facing and what our best tech would be.
